Package: Circa £58,000 per annum, plus commission package
General Role Description
Leading the sales team to help drive revenue, motivating the team to build client relationships, achieve sales targets, and meet the customer needs. This role spans all PDC’s accreditation services and will work alongside the company directors to strategically set targets and revenue forecasts.
To provide a high level of sales support and ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient professional and timely manner, in line with the company’s goals, following processes and procedures. The sales manager should have a very good understanding of digital marketing and be ready to play an active part in working with the marketing managers to craft the sales funnels.
Ultimately, the Sales Manager will help the company to meet its customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping PDC competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the company board.
Responsibilities
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing and leading the sales team.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands PDC’s customer base and ensure its strong presence within our markets.
- Recruit in conjunction with management, objective setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales staff.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and achieving sales that create a Long-Term Value (LTV) for the company through their future membership renewal years.
- Present sales analysis, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the Board on a regular basis.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitors status and activities in the marketplace.
- Create and refine a UK-specific sales strategy and forecasts in line with company overall objectives.
- Create targets, KPIs and sales strategy roadmaps for individual team members,
- Represent PDC at all UK and international trade shows, exhibitions and conferences.
- Problem-solve regional sales difficulties and pipeline issues within our markets.
- Keep up to date with industry knowledge of related products and services.
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation and working with digital marketing colleagues to ensure high inbound lead quality with an ability to work with Marketing to craft tunnels
- Liaising with marketing to ensure social media and events correspond with sales messages.
- Identifying ideal clients and building a 2023 dream client list, with an outbound business development strategy and targets.
- Responsible for ensuring all sales staff follow company procedures and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures including Keap processes.
- Achieving complete uniformity across the sales team in processing leads and using the CRM to ensuring accurate data is present for sales and board reports.
- Building a culture of collaboration and conformity to the CRM and IT systems.
- New business development: Recommend amendments to process and use related information to efficiency and benefits.
Requirements and Skills
- Successful previous experience as a sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding target for over 3 years
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
- Experience in customer relationship and staff management
- Experience managing and directing a sales team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive experience of developing and taking forward business leads, cold calling and closing business opportunities
- Ability to work on own initiative and pay close attention to detail to ensure all sales opportunities are captured and explored
