A Project Manager is a member of the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Training School. On a day-to-day basis, the project manager’s key responsibilities involve supporting project documentation, such as plans and reports; monitoring tasks and controlling schedules; communicating the project's progress to team members and other stakeholders; and supporting various components to a project. Some types of projects include: program/product development, learning development and delivery, software migration and implementation, research and development, and continuous improvement in processes and products.

The PMO is a newly formed function at the RTT school in the early stage of development using a hybrid approach to project management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile). We are looking for highly organised and passionate individuals who will actively promote and engage in project management methodologies and standards of practice. The PMO aims to implement project management best practices for the benefit of the organization. In a manner that encourages efficiencies, collaboration, standardization, and overall improvement in project results across the organizational landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead key projects with the PMO and provide support to other department teams with project management and alignment of resources.
  • Ensure key projects are planned and delivered through the quality of PMO standards.
  • Manage project scope, personnel resources, and create documents for project requirements.
  • Take complex or abstract ideas (with limited info) and convert them into a workable scope for testing or further discussion.
  • Develop work packages, assign and delegate tasks to the project team and recruit support within the matrix environment.
  • Work in an agile and iterative manner with project planning and delivery.
  • Conduct project meetings to communicate individual roles, project expectations, and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
  • Monitor projects and risks on a regular basis, evaluating progress and quality, and managing issue resolution processes to ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain the quality of all project document/data to assure the integrity of a project
  • Organise project documentation, ensure project dashboards are updated: status, priority, deadlines, etc.
  • Work with the PMO and senior management to report analyzed data and communicate results.
  • Adhere to and promote the use of standardized format guidelines.
  • Negotiate and influence without authority in a cross functional matrix environment.
  • Engage in continuous improvement within the PMO, such as creating, curating and updating tools and templates, gathering best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Monitor and control multiple projects simultaneously, chase/follow-up on tasks progress and outstanding deliverables.
  • Provide regular project status reports and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
  • Provide training and coaching to colleagues related to project management.


  • 3+ years of experience in similar role (project manager, program manager, or lead)
  • Undergraduate Degree, in Business, Marketing, Psychology or related field is desirable.
  • You are versatile with a clear interest in project management and desired career pathway.
  • Prince2 practitioner or similar qualification such as PMP / APMP/ APM PQ / Agile
  • Confident with leadership skills and excellent communication (oral + written), interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, organisational and time management skills.
  • A transparent and accountable approach to working.
  • A quick learner with an open mind and the ability to adapt quickly and pivot with new circumstances.
  • Continuous learning and self-development, with high initiative and independence.
  • Computer literate with advance level understanding and use of Google Suite Products, MSOffice, and mind mapping.
  • Experiencing using project management softwares (Asana, Trello, MSProject), CRM and LMS software.
  • As this is a remote, home based role, you must be self-sufficient to work from home
  • Comfortable working within a fast-past (scale-up) changing environment and responding appropriately to the impact this will have for your team.

Desired (though not essential):

  • Although this is not a pure technical role, demonstrated experience and skills in IT/software development would be an asset.
  • Background understanding or experience in any of the following areas would be an asset but not essential: education, therapy, counselling, social care, coaching, NHS, healthcare/clinical settings.
