Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Group Financial Controller will lead a team of circa 25 and, working closely with an experienced Financial Controller, will take responsibility for Financial Reporting, Statutory Accounts in the UK and USA, global tax filings, the annual audit and the implementation of Sage Intacct. It is also expected that there will be a significant amount of ad project work as required by the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for finance related statutory and regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Production of timely business management information, budgeting and forecasting
  • Management of a remote finance team of c.25
  • Improvement and development of controls and risk management processes
  • Ensuring the Group maintains a strong financial control environment
  • Drive improvements in accounting systems & processes, including payroll and invoicing
  • Manage the annual group Audit and Corporate Tax submissions
  • Provide meaningful analysis to assist in commercial decision making
  • Review of the consolidation of monthly results
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for opportunities to improve profitability
  • Integration of future acquisitions
  • Significant ad hoc project work
  • Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • Experience in a business that is scaling rapidly
  • International consolidation experience and with multi currency accounting
  • International consumer finance experience desirable
  • Possess the drive and commitment to produce the highest quality work and to deliver expertise at all times
  • Experience working with Sage Intacct (implementation experience is desirable)
  • Experience using Xero (preferred)
  • Management experience & leadership skills
