Position Title: Business Development Manager
Reports to: Sales Manager
Salary: £45,000 per annum with a potential to earn up to £60,000 per annum
Hybrid role: 3 days in the office in Staines, Surrey and 2 days working from home
Annual leave entitlement: 22 days holiday (Rising to 27 days after 5 years of service), with additional days for Christmas shopping and birthday

Main Purpose of Role/Summary
As the Business Development Manager, you will be a crucial part of our growth strategy, responsible for driving new business both in the UK and internationally. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, your primary focus will be on expanding our market presence and establishing sustained, profitable customer relationships. You will need to be a self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with a proven track record in sales. This role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable working independently, yet thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Main Duties/Tasks
Drive Business Growth: Proactively develop new business opportunities in the UK and globally, focusing on self-generated leads.
Sales Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve significant independent revenue growth.
Client Engagement: Promote our accreditation services, addressing client objectives and securing membership subscriptions.
Achieve Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets set by management.
Market Analysis: Analyse market competition and provide detailed reports to guide strategy.
Collaborate: Work closely with the marketing team to align efforts and enhance business strategies.
Person Specification
Key skills, attributes and desirable qualities
Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven sales experience, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills; ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively.
Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and handle uncertainty with minimal guidance.
Team Player: Collaborative, detail-oriented, and a natural leader with a history of meeting sales targets.
